These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dealing With It mobile application ("App"), developed by Stable Barn Technologies.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Purpose of the App
Dealing With It is a personal organization and planning tool intended to help users manage tasks, responsibilities, contacts, documents, deadlines, and follow-ups during life events.
The App may provide suggested checklists, organizational guidance, progress tracking, and planning tools.
These features are intended for informational and organizational purposes.
3. No Professional Advice
Dealing With It does not provide legal, financial, medical, mental health, tax, insurance, or other licensed professional advice.
Suggested tasks and checklists are general organizational resources and may not apply to every person or situation.
Requirements can vary based on location, individual circumstances, contracts, and applicable laws.
Users should consult qualified professionals or appropriate agencies when necessary.
Do not rely on the App as your sole source of information for legal deadlines, financial obligations, medical decisions, or other important matters.
4. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
Determining which suggested tasks apply to your situation
Reviewing and verifying important information
Entering accurate dates and details
Managing your own deadlines and follow-ups
Protecting confidential information
Maintaining backups
Reviewing documents before sharing them
Seeking professional assistance when appropriate
The App does not guarantee that a checklist includes every action necessary for a particular life event.
5. No Accounts or Subscriptions
The App is designed for use without creating a user account.
It is intended to be offered as a one-time paid download through the Apple App Store.
The App does not require an in-app subscription to access its core functionality.
Purchases, billing, refunds, and applicable App Store transactions are subject to Apple's relevant terms and policies.
6. Local Data and Backups
The App stores user-created records locally on the device rather than synchronizing them through a user account.
You are responsible for protecting and backing up information you wish to retain.
Removing the App, clearing device storage, replacing devices, or experiencing device failure may result in loss of stored information.
The App provides user-controlled backup export and restore functionality.
Exported backup files are not encrypted by the App.
Restoring a backup replaces the existing App records rather than merging them.
Stable Barn Technologies cannot guarantee recovery of records that have been deleted or lost without an available backup.
7. Sharing and Handoff Documents
The App may allow users to create handoff summaries, export PDF documents, copy information, or share selected content.
You are responsible for reviewing the accuracy and appropriateness of information before sharing it.
Do not share information about another person unless you have an appropriate basis or permission to do so.
Once information leaves the App, we cannot control how a recipient or external service stores, distributes, or uses it.
8. Contacts and Third-Party Information
You may choose to enter contact information or details concerning other individuals.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of this information complies with applicable laws and respects others' privacy.
Do not use the App to unlawfully collect, disclose, or distribute personal information.
9. Documents and Records
Dealing With It is not an official document repository, government filing system, legal records platform, or substitute for secure professional document storage.
Users should retain official records through appropriate channels.
The App does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or legal validity of information entered by users.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its original design, branding, interface, software, and built-in organizational content, is owned by Stable Barn Technologies or its applicable licensors.
You may use the App for lawful personal purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable App Store licensing requirements.
You retain responsibility for the personal information and original content you enter into the App.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
Violate applicable laws
Infringe the rights or privacy of others
Distribute unlawful or harmful material
Misrepresent the App as an official government or professional service
Interfere with the App's operation or security
12. Availability and Updates
We may update the App to improve functionality, correct errors, or maintain compatibility.
Certain features may depend on device capabilities, operating-system permissions, or supported export and sharing functions.
We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every device or operating-system version.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every individual situation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Stable Barn Technologies is not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate user-entered information, missed deadlines, reliance on generalized checklist suggestions, unauthorized sharing, or loss of locally stored data.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with device features or external services selected by the user, including file storage, printing, or sharing services.
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy practices.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or our services.
Updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
